Do you struggle to take deep breaths?

If you have difficulty breathing slowly, deeply, or run out of breath too soon, the ocean can be your guide to help you lengthen your breath and intensify the relaxation response. This Ocean Breath technique is accomplished by constricting the epiglottis (the epi-what?! - yeah, me too, totally learned some anatomy here!).

Year of Self-Care: Goals

I know that this word can be both inspiring and horrifying. Goal setting can be a real drag, especially when our goals turn into yet another way we beat ourselves up.

But it doesn't have to be that way, particularly if we release our attachment to the outcomes to some extent.

3 Power Poses to Help You Access Your Healing Breath

Do you know the 3 poses that most support diaphragmatic breathing? Well, I'm here to share them with you! Breathing through the diaphragm helps us to activate the vagus nerve, which stimulates the relaxation response.

This type of breathing will help you come out of states of activation, but it's also a great practice to incorporate into your day to day to strengthen and nurture your nervous system.

Year of Self-Care: Patience

By definition, patience means to accept ... to accept a delay, a suffering, a disappointment, a trouble, a situation ... without anger.

Oooo weeeee can that be a tall order, especially if our nervous system is stuck in fight or flight! Especially if we've been on a healing journey for what feels like forever and we still aren't where we want to be.

Yet the slowing down and the stillness that comes with patience can help temper our attitude, improve our mood, help us process and heal, and ultimately step into greatness.

It was the lowest time in my life, and then....

I met Kathy in 2021. She was at an all time low in her life. She had just gone through a terrible break-up and been kicked out of her home. Her confidence had been destroyed and she was just living moment by moment. But like so many of my clients, Kathy is a fighter and refused to surrender to the circumstances of her life.


I knew right away when we first met for a free consultation that Kathy and I clicked and I was so excited to get started walking alongside her.

Even though abuse may cause you to be full of self-doubt, it does not have to remain this way. You can learn to trust yourself and your decisions and show up in the world as the amazing unique person you are!
