I wrote a book as a way to heal and felt comfortable saying the character was 'Jen' not me and writing helped me to heal and to open up about my past sexual abuse which seemed fiction because of the horrific events which I hide behind. I too always had these feelings but still managed to function with a personality disorder. My hope was that others would understand but what I learned was that most people just don't care or hear about it unless you are a celebrity. It was not ok for the girl to rape you and nowadays she too would be charged but then it would be her word against yours and more than likely dropped leaving you feeling like you did something wrong, it's a no win most of the time.
